This study reports on the work of the community leader Humberto Teixeira de Lima as a reflection of a more humane and fraternal approach to politics. Drawing on the concepts of Complex Thought, Anthropo-politics, and Fraternity as a political category, this study examines the interplay between subjectivities and the participation of multiple voices in the construction of knowledge and the practice of humanizing politics. Focusing on the collective memory of the Redenção neighborhood and the Community Movement in Mossoró-RN (Brazil), the study traces Humberto’s trajectory, beginning with his political leadership in 1988 as president of the Community Council. Beyond his role as a leader, Humberto distinguished himself as a self-taught communicator, leveraging radio broadcasting and public speaking to mediate conflicts and advocate for his community’s needs.
