This article proposes an analysis of images (photographs) of the 1917 General Strike, more specifically of the funeral procession of Spanish immigrant José Ineguez Martinez, killed during the wall movement as a result of the repression carried out by the Public Force. From the perspective of Image Anthropology, whose theory allows us to analyze these photographs and try to understand what emerges from this in-depth analysis, the article makes it possible to understand the “silences” that may contain photographic compositions and, through this investigation, understand the legacy of these images, considering their inscriptions in social memory throughout historical time.
