Abstract

This article analyzes the territorial control exercised by gunmen in cyberspace, taking as a case the conflicts between the rural workers of the Good Hope Camp and the owners of Fazenda Santa Clara, municipality of Marabá, occurred between 2018 and 2021. In addition to the bibliographical sources, the information provided through the analysis of the police inquiries of the Agrarian Conflicts Police Station (Deca), the Administrative Processes of the Institute of Terras do Pará (Iterpa) and the Public Ministry of Pará (MPPA)and the process of reinstatement of possession action, the Agrarian Court, on the litigation at the Santa Clara Farm, as well as analysis of oral reports of members of the Camp Good Hope and the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT), on the subject studied. The gunmen, using the internet and digital devices, as well as large-caliber weapons, intimidated, threatened and assaulted the camped families as they controlled the area of the farm.
