The notes presented in this article stem from the doctoral research titled: XXXXXXXX, conducted between 2020 and 2024 in the Graduate Program XXXXXXXX at the University XXXXXXXX. This research was supported by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Brazil (CAPES) and as part of the Research Group XXXXXXXX. The research focus presented here pertains to the photographic collection of the Marabaixo Cycle, an intangible cultural heritage of the State of Amapá. This collection was examined through an archival process involving the assembly and reassembly of the researched archives. Methodologically, the investigation employs the concept of the archive as defined by Michel Foucault (2008), which is characterized as a set of rules that allows for the emergence, activation, and erasure of discourses, with their echoes extending into the present. Through this approach, it was found that the archives of the Marabaixo Cycle are powerful sources for archival studies and also for the study of Afro-Amapaense cultural knowledge in educational spaces within the state of Amapá.
