About the Journal

Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) is a publication of the Postgraduate Program in Accounting and Administration at Universidade Comunitária da Região de Chapecó (UNOCHAPECÓ), edited in partnership with the Postgraduate Program in Administration at Universidade Estadual de Santa Catarina (UDESC/ESAG).

Periodicity

Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) is a quarterly publication. As of 2021 RGO will start to operate with a continuous flow in its four-month issues.

 

Focus and scope

Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) aims to disseminate scientific knowledge in the form of articles, essays, and reviews that represent advances in the following areas of knowledge:

- Organizational Studies: historical studies; ethical foundations; theoretical foundations; organizational thinking.

- Public and Business Administration: strategy; finance; people management; governance; public management; social management; logistics, marketing; production; public policies.

- Accounting: auditing; compliance; corporate accounting; management accounting; information systems; integrated reporting; taxation.

- Organizations, Management and Society: sustainability; sustainable development; environmental, social and governance (ESG);

- Teaching and research in Business and Accounting: teaching/learning methods; cases for teaching

Mission

To disseminate the production of knowledge in management and organizational studies.

 

Public

Professors and undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and professionals related to organizational management.

Peer Review Process

The objective of the peer review process is to help our contributors improve their work by providing constructive evaluations prepared by experienced reviewers. Original articles, teaching cases, and reviews submitted to Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) are reviewed by at least two ad hoc reviewers and/or members of the Editorial Board (double-blind review).

In this process, the originals are initially read by the Editor, who, if considers them to be in accordance with the general editorial line, will forward them to the reviewers. All papers are evaluated based on criteria previously established by the Editorial Policy Committee, using the following parameters:

1 - Evaluation criteria: Use of the scale [ ] Excellent [ ] Good [ ] Fair  [ ] Poor for the following items: The theme is current and relevant; The objectives are clearly defined; The work has conceptual consistency and the author shows security, knowledge and ownership when dealing with the subject; The research strategy is clear and the methodology is appropriate to the objectives of the work; The results and conclusions are clear and objective, and respond to the objectives of the article/study; The language is clear and pleasant, and presents orderly unleashing of ideas; The work shows aspects of originality and uniqueness; The work has extra temporal validity; The work contributes to the construction of scientific knowledge in the area.

The article is then sent to the authors to make the necessary changes, when requested. If the evaluation indicates rejection, the submission is archived and the authors are notified.

Guidelines of Ethical Conduct

 Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) and its editors follow the guidelines (Code of Conduct and Best Practices Guidelines for Journals Editors - https://publicationethics.org) established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), regarding the principles of Ethical Conduct.

- Editorial Independence: editorial decisions are based on the quality of submissions and appropriate peer review, without any political, financial, or personal influences by journal staff or volunteer experts.

- Journal Management:  Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) has the necessary mechanisms and infrastructure for the editorial services to guarantee efficiency in publication from the conception of an independent journal. The journal has an ethical and transparent process in relation to editors, authors and reviewers.

- Ethical Supervision: the choice for editors and administrative support staff follows criteria that respects the guidelines of ethical conduct.

- Complaints and Appeals: possible complaints regarding the journal and its staff, editorial board and editor, or appeals arising from the editorial process, should be forwarded to the e-mail rgo@unochapeco.edu.br.

- Post-publication Discussions and Corrections: Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) may request corrections, revisions, or promote the exclusion of articles after publication, in case of infractions of research ethics procedures.

General Orientations

Plagiarism: The submitted articles will be checked for possible plagiarism (using the software Crossref Similarity Check).

Authorship: Insertion of names of people who did not effectively contribute to the article is not allowed. All authors must be aware of the submission.

Conflict of interest

Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) considers that when an author, editor or reviewer has a personal and/or financial interest or belief that may affect their objectivity or inappropriately influence their actions, there is a conflict of interest.

 

Research fraud

The inclusion of data or conclusions that have not been generated by experiments or observations, but by invention or data manipulation, is expressly forbidden.

Open Access Policy

 Revista Gestão Organizacional(RGO) adopts the Open Access policy, under the standard Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-ND) agreement, by which the submission of the text authorizes its publication and implies a commitment that the same material is not being submitted to another journal. RGO provides free and immediate public access to all its content.
