For articles in Spanish, the English version must also be submitted. Once approved for publication, the author will be responsible for providing the English language version according to the standards of the translators accredited by the journal.

ARTICLE ACCESSIBILITY

To ensure accessibility to knowledge and information, the Revista Pedagógica is initiating a set of actions in this direction (template changes, accessible fonts for digital readers, insertion of links in PDFs, etc.). The goal is to gradually incorporate various forms of accessibility into our publications, in compliance with the guidelines contained in the Brazilian Inclusion Law (LBI), Law No. 13,146 of July 6, 2015, and the Manual of Accessibility in Digital Documents. Recommendations:

  1. Prioritize the use of shorter paragraphs to facilitate comprehension during reading.
  2. Avoid using italic font, as it is more difficult to read, especially by digital text-reading software.
  3. Integrate hyperlinks within the referenced terms themselves, avoiding expressions like click here, learn more, access the website, among others.
  4. Avoid using descriptions and/or information based only on color, size, or formatting to convey different information, as text-reading software does not identify such distinctions.
  5. Avoid tables and charts with more than five columns and ten rows, and produce them in text format (within the text editor) rather than as an image.
  6. Avoid captions with symbols and abbreviations.
  7. Verify the contrast of graphics using the Color Contrast Analyzer tool, both to ensure contrast for individuals with low vision and for printing.
  8. Use colors that are accessible to colorblind individuals and avoid using red, especially when combined with green.
  9. Provide alternative text for images to describe them, as we will soon begin the process of inserting image descriptions upon the publication of the final article file.

CONTRIBUTIONS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

The Editorial Team of Revista Pedagógica does not recognize AI as authorship for submitted articles and/or reviews. However, we understand that it may contribute to specific stages of the research process. Therefore, any and all use of AI during the manuscript creation and preparation processes must be described by the author(s) in an Authorship and Originality Declaration document, attached during the submission process; in which they must take responsibility for the veracity of the publication's content and its relationship with the use of AI, providing information on:

  • Conception: Describe how AI was used during the conceptualization of the study.
  • Methodological design: If AI was used in the process.
  • Data: If AI was used during data collection and/or interpretation.
  • Manuscript preparation: Describe at which stage (writing, review, translation, etc.) and how AI was used.
  • Type of AI: Describe the type of AI used and the reason for its use.

EDITORIAL FLOW

The article submission process for Revista Pedagógica follows this flow:

1. System Registration

- Registration in the Journal's system is necessary for submission and subsequent access – which is done via login and password to monitor the ongoing editorial process.

- The following must be included in the Journal's metadata during registration:

a) Registration of all authors, according to the order of authorship that must appear in the article's publication. It is important that authors clearly define the order of authorship included in the work at the time of submission, in accordance with the CNPq document "Ethics and Integrity in Scientific Practice," items 17 and 20.

b) Insertion of the ORCID number, obtained through registration on the website.

c) A brief biography for each author: Degree/Qualification. Institutional Affiliation. Research Group. Email.

2. Submission

- Works must be submitted exclusively via the journal's website.

-Before sending, access the checklist template and ensure all steps have been completed.

- At the time of submission, the work must be in accordance with all submission standards.

- The revision of the texts is the responsibility of the authors. Thus, if the work is approved for publication, a declaration from a professional text reviewer assuming responsibility for the correction of the work must be submitted along with the final version.

3. Preliminary Evaluation

This is carried out by the editors, who analyze whether the submitted work meets the aspects described in the "Submission Requirements" menu. If not, it will be returned for adjustments and a new submission. Works that meet the conditions will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee for evaluation.

4. Scientific Committee Evaluation (Double-Blind Review)

- The work file is sent to at least two reviewers who are members of the Editorial Board or invited ad hoc reviewers.

- Reviewers are selected based on the CNPq area classification table and the information available on the LATTES platform. Selection may occur through a search of the database of registered reviewers in the journal or through other reviewer search engines.

- Works will be evaluated according to the following criteria: relevance and contribution to the area of education; argumentative consistency and rigor of the theoretical-methodological approach; overall text quality; observed deficiencies.

- Reviewers have four decision options:

a) Publish the article as presented.

b) Publish the article after minor revisions have been completed.

c) Publish the article after substantial revision.

d) Reject the article for publication.

- The decision is justified by a descriptive review, and in case of divergent decisions, the work will be sent to a third reviewer.

-When revisions are requested, the work is returned to the author to address the points raised in the reviews. The new version must be accompanied by a declaration from a professional reviewer of the full text and the abstracts in different languages, who assumes responsibility for the correction of the work. If approved, the work moves to the final stage – editing and typesetting.
