Abstract

Entrepreneurship has been arousing interest either in the academic environment as much as in the business and public environment, especially for its importance in job and income generation. It is observed that the growing number of researches dealing with specific subjects of entrepreneurship,
especially in the sense of demonstrating its importance as a generator of innovations, in the private business sector, as in the third sector, or in the public sector. Those works have been discussing the differences among the several entrepreneurship types. The proposal of this work, whose results are here presented, is to verify if there really are differences between the social and private entrepreneurs, from the perspective of their attitudes and actions. By means of descriptive research using the survey method with quantitative approach, it was verified, at least in what it concerns to the sample, that, in a general way, there aren’t significant differences between the scores reached by the social entrepreneurs and the private ones in relation to the characteristics of entrepreneur behavior.
